DIY Fairy Garden
Create your own miniature fairy garden with the whimsical ideas below as inspiration. This simple craft is a great way to spend a summer afternoon with the kiddies. It also gives non-recyclable containers a second life, something that is very important to us at East West Markets.
Supplies:
- Container
- Fake grass, plants, trees, flowers, lavender
- Sticks and twigs
- Small rocks
- Beach shells
- Popsicle sticks
- Stickers
- Fairy tea lights
- Miniature dollar store items (ie: plastic mushrooms, gnomes, woodland animals, birdhouse, furniture, garden tools, fence, signs, wooden doors, fairy lights, etc)
- Hot glue gun
Instructions:
Choose the container you will be recycling for your fairy garden. Sketch the layout of your garden on a piece of paper. If you need inspiration, try searching, “fairy garden ideas” on Pinterest.
Pick a tiny tree or miniature house as the focal point of your garden. Use fake grass, plants, flowers, twigs, and rocks to border the tree. Add your decorations of choice with a hot glue gun. Voila!
