Vegan Hamburger Helper Recipe

This vegan hamburger helper recipe features our Butler Soy Curls that you can find stocked on our shelves. Butler Soy Curls are an all natural alternative to meat that are heart-healthy, delicious, and easy to cook with. 

“Meat” Ingredients:

  • 2.5 cups Butler Soy Curls
  • 2.5 cups vegetable broth
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
Pasta Ingredients:

  • 3.5 cups vegetable broth
  • 2 cups macaroni
  • 1 tsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 cup plant-based cheese like our Parmela Creamery Shreds
  • Chopped green onion, for garnish
Instructions:

Combine all the “meat” ingredients in a bowl. Mix well. Let the soy curls soak for 15 minutes and then drain. In a medium pan, heat a splash of olive oil. Brown the soy curls for 5 minutes. Transfer to a blender and blend until smooth. Set aside. In the same pan, add the pasta broth and bring to a low boil. Add the macaroni noodles and simmer for about 10 minutes, or until al dente. Drain out most of the broth and add the ground soy curls, mustard, and smoked paprika. Mix well. Top with vegan shredded cheese and green onion and enjoy.
